Allie & Grey is a semi-autobiographical comic about the lives of Allie the Allosexual and Grey the gray-asexual! Also their tiny ball of floof, Tribble!

Jay and I came up with the idea for Allie & Grey as we had begun navigating the complex and confusing life of an allosexual (Jay) being married to an asexual-spectrum person (me). After I had come out as gray-asexual, we spent a lot of time talking and communicating with each other, as well as looking around online for resources that were for folx like us. What we found in our research was...
Nobody thinks asexual and allosexual couples can make it work!
This was frustrating to us, as an ace/allo couple who wanted to make it work. Most forums and websites talked about breaking up/divorce which, to us was not a direction we wanted to explore. Also, a lot of the websites didn't consider that maybe some allosexual/asexual couples are polyamorous. Ultimately, we thought it would be nice to see more content out there specifically for us, but knew that true to The Erskine Curse*, it was up to us to make said content a thing.
With that, Allie & Grey were born!

This series follows Allie the Allosexual bunny, and Grey the Graysexual tiger. The two are married, deeply in love, but have entirely different tastes when it comes to the bedroom. The comics will show what it is like in the lives of allo/ace couples, both the good and bad times. Most importantly, Allie & Grey is intended to show that it is possible for couples with differing sexual interests to have happy, loving relationships.

There's a lot of stories, wisdom, and goofiness that Jay and I have to share about our experience coming to terms with our relationship changing. However, we aren't the only people in the world to have this kind of dynamic. It is important that while Allie & Grey are largely based on Jay and me that there is wiggle room to include stories from other ace/allo folx as well. Hence the "semi-autobiographical" tag for this series.

One of my favorite parts of this comic is that it's a project that Jay and I can do together as a couple. It has been a fantastic way to communicate our feelings and process instances in an artistic format. We each have a say in what stories to tell, if we wanna change the art style for a specific comic, or even the tone (there are definitely some darker comics I've already drawn out). It's exciting to have the artistic freedom to explore this topic with my best friend and nesting partner.
So be on the look-out for occasional Allie & Grey posts here on Just Pants blog! We may eventually post them to Tapas but for now, this is where they'll live :) No firm schedule for these babies though. Purely "as we feel like it" for production.
Comment below if you're in a relationship dynamic similar to Allie & Grey :) Would love to hear from other folx!
